When sending links with defined ranges, the content of the underlying spreadsheet is visible/usable to the viewer. Depending on the permission given to the recipient, there is a defined period of time to insert data via the link. Cells which are calculated via an Excel formula are displayed in blue color.
When creating apps, the formulas are used within the apps but not displayed.
